WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE SOMERSHAM TOWN BAND
The band is a traditional brass band based in Somersham, a village 5 miles North of St Ives in Cambridgeshire. We are keen and enthusiastic amateur musicians who give our time freely for the joy of making music together in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The band presently has vacancies for both front row and back row cornet players. If you can play the cornet, or indeed would like to learn to play this wonderful instrument, the band would love to hear from you. 11 May 2021. Back to Rehearsals
The Executive Committee are pleased to announce that with the implementation of the next stage of the Government’s Covid 19 Roadmap to Recovery, we are now able to resume band rehearsals. The majority of our members will now be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. However, for the time being we are required to continue with social distancing and other measures to further reduce the risk of transmission. Copies of our Risk Assessments for both rehearsals and events and also our Instructions to Members are in the Members area.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings 7.30 to 9.30 pm at the Somersham British Legion Hall and Sunday mornings 10.30 to 12.15 at the Victory Hall.
40th Anniversary Concert - Further Postponed
To mark the 40th anniversary since it reformed in 1980, the band had planned to present a special concert at Burgess Hall, St Ives on 29 May 2020. However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic the band has reluctantly further postponed the event until Saturday 28th May 2022……….
