This year’s AGM will be held at the British Legion Hall on Thursday 17 November 2022, starting at 19.00.
25 September 2022: Octoberfest
The band performed at an Octoberfest at Ramsey Mereside Village Hall last night. This is a lovely venue and the mix of german and popular music was was well received by an enthusiastic and vocal audience. Very many thanks to the organisers for inviting us to play and for providing some excellent german fayre.
31 Mar 2022: Latest Covid News
Some changes have been made to our procedures for rehearsals. In view of the continuing high infection rate the band will continue with increased spacing between players. Windows will be closed whilst playing, but the band will have a 10-15 minute break midway through the rehearsal. During this break all windows and external doors will be opened to ventilate the room. Members will also be encouraged to sanitise hands on arrival and invited to wear masks at their discretion.
21 Jan 2022: Training Band Reformed
Following a very successful taster session on 13 Jan, the band has attracted 12 new budding musicians and this has enabled us to restart the training band. The new recruits include children from age 8 upwards and a few adult beginners. The training band meets for rehearsals at the British Legion Hall on Thursday evenings between 6.00pm and 7.15pm.
